Christian music star Lauren Daigle was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. Daigle was drawn to music from an early age, singing frequently throughout the house when she was a child and finding musical influence in the local blues and Cajun music of her hometown. Although Lauren initially did not harbor dreams of becoming a musician, a twist of fate changed her destiny when she was a child.

Diagle contracted a debilitating illness and was unable to attend school for nearly two years. During that time, she found solace in her love of music, and although she did eventually return to school and make up for lost time, she found herself more fully immersed in the school choir while attending LSU, rising to the lead position and finding encouragement from her fellow musicians.

Lauren Daigle tried out for American Idol in 2010 and 2012 but each time was cut before the televised rounds. But word of her talents began to grow, and in 2013 she signed a deal with the Christian label, Centricity. Her debut EP, How Can It Be, was a top forty Christian hit and a top five hit on the US Heatseekers charts up on its release in 2014. Lauren’s big breakthrough then came with the debut album How Can It Be (2015), a number one Christian hit and number twenty-eight album on the mainstream charts in the United States. The album earned Daigle a GMA Dove Award New Artist of the Year in 2015 and one year later, additional Dove Awards for Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year, for the single “How Can It Be.” An American Music Award nomination for Contemporary Inspirational performer followed in 2016; Daigle later won the won the award in 2017 and 2018.

Since that time, Lauren Daigle has released the additional number one Christian albums Look Up Child (2018) and Behold: A Christmas Collection (2016.) Both were also mainstream hits, featuring notable Christian singles such as: “How Can It Be,” “First,” “Trust in You,” “Back to God” (with Reba McEntire Booking Agent & Management" href="https://stage.onlinetalent.com/artist/country/Reba_McEntire.php"> Reba McEntire Booking Agent & Management" href="https://stage.onlinetalent.com/artist/country/Reba_McEntire.php"> Reba McEntire Booking Agent & Management" href="https://stage.onlinetalent.com/artist/country/Reba_McEntire.php"> Reba McEntire), “O Lord,” and “You Say,” which earned Lauren Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song and Best Contemporary Christian Music Album in 2019. Daigle most recently performed the national anthem at the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship in January of 2020. Her latest singles are “Look Up Child,” and “Rescue.”
