Kensington BIO

The Dutch rock band Kensington was established in 2005 by founding members Lucas Lenselink, Jan Haker, and Casper Starreveld. After coming together to form the band, Kensington began performing around the Netherlands, building a growing fan base and preparing for their debut album. The group released three EPs during this time period – An Introduction To… (2006), Kensington (2007), and Youth (2008.)

Kensington’s debut, Borders, was a moderate success upon its release, but it was the group’s sophomore effort, Vultures (2012) that brought them into the top ten in the Netherlands. Vultures spawned Kensington’s first top forty hit in the Netherlands, “Home Again” - the song was also the group’s first international charting single, reaching into the mainstream charts in Belgium as well. It was Kensington’s third album, Rivals, that truly placed them on the European map; the album rose to the number one position in the Netherlands and spawned the top twenty singles “Streets” and “War,” and the additional charting songs “All for Nothing,” “Riddles,” and “Done with It.”

Kensington is a band on the rise and one about to break into the international market any minute. With the current lineup of Starreveld, Haker, Eloi Youssef, and Niles Vandenberg, the band released their latest album, Control, in 2016. The album spawned the hit singles “Do I Ever” and “Sorry,” and again reached the number one spot in the Netherlands.
