Galactic BIO

The American jam band known as Galactic was established in 1994 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Galactic was formed when founding members Jeff Raines and Robert Mercurio met as children in Chevy Chase, Maryland. After the two graduated from high school, they both chose New Orleans as their university destinations, attending Tulane and Loyola Universities while at the same time forming Galactic and performing around the local area.

Galactic established a strong fan base, with its unique blend of everything from world music to jazz and hip hop. Since releasing their debut album —Coolin’ Off (1996)—the band has released the additional albums: Crazyhorse Mongoose (1998), Late for the Future Booking Agent & Management" href="https://stage.onlinetalent.com/artist/hiphop/booking-future.php"> Future (2000), Vintage Reserve (2003), Rukus (2003), From the Corner to the Block (2007), and Carnivale Electricos (2012.)
