Alesso BIO

Alessandro Renato Rodolfo Lindblad, known by his stage name Alesso, was born on July 7, 1991, in Stockholm, Sweden. He is a prominent DJ and record producer recognized for his contributions to the progressive house genre. Alesso started playing the piano at age 7 but became interested in electronic dance music at the age of 16. His initial recognition came in 2010 with the release of his self-titled EP.

In early 2011, Alesso collaborated with Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia, who introduced him to DJing and music production. One of their notable collaborations was the track "Calling," which reached number 2 on the Beatport charts and was later renamed "Calling (Lose My Mind)" featuring Ryan Tedder. His remix of "Pressure" by Nadia Ali also gained significant popularity, topping The Hype Machine. After debuting on DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs list at number 70 in 2011, Alesso quickly rose to prominence.

By 2013, Alesso had achieved a high ranking of 13th on DJ Magazine's list. He gained significant attention at major music festivals such as Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Tomorrowland. His remix of "If I Lose Myself" by OneRepublic was nominated for a Grammy and garnered substantial attention on SoundCloud. In 2014, he signed with Def Jam Recordings, becoming one of the few EDM producers to join the label.

Alesso's debut full-length album, Forever, was released in May 2015 and featured successful singles like "Heroes (We Could Be)" and "Cool." He continued to produce hit tracks, including collaborations with artists such as Hailee Steinfeld, Anitta, and Kalin White. Notable performances during this period included the "Heroes Tour," where he partnered with the charity Chime for Change to raise funds for women's causes.

Throughout his career, Alesso has consistently released successful singles and remixes, including collaborations with well-known artists such as Calvin Harris, Katy Perry, and Usher. His work has made a significant impact on electronic dance music, earning him recognition as a leading figure in the genre. He has performed at various high-profile events, including the UEFA Champions League final in 2023.
