Cheech Marin BIO

The comedian and actor Cheech Marin was born Richard Anthony Marin in 1946 in Los Angeles, California. Long before Cheech became one half of the infamous duo known as “Cheech and Chong,” he grew up in the San Fernando Valley and attended the area’s local state college. At the height of the Vietnam War, Marin left the country and moved to Vancouver to avoid the draft. He also appeared on the small screen in such television shows as The Golden Palace, Judging Amy, Nash Bridges, and Lost.
