Mickey Guyton BIO

The American country music singer Mickey Guyton was born Candace Mycale Guyton in 1983 in Arlington, Texas. Young Mickey attributes her childhood love of music to the performances of LeAnn Rimes, and by the time she was a teenager Guyton knew that she wanted to follow in her footsteps.

In 2011, Mickey signed her first record contract with Capitol Records, although her debut EP, Unbreakable, would not arrive for another three years. Guyton’s debut single, “Better Than You Left Me” arrived in 2015, and the song rose into the top forty on the country music charts.

Since that time, Mickey Guyton has released an additional self-titled EP, and the singles “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “Why Baby Why.” Guyton was recently nominated for an Academy of Country Music Award, for New Female Vocalist of the Year. Her debut album is expected to release sometime in 2016.
