Old Dominion BIO

The American country music band Old Dominion consists of Brad Tursi, Geoff Sprung, Whit Sellers, Trevor Rosen, and Matthew Ramsey. Ramsen and Rosen met in 2003 and began working together as songwriters, penning hits for notable musicians such as The Band Perry, Chris Young, and Kenny Chesney. After nearly a decade of working together, they decided to form their own band, initially to showcase music they’d composed.

Old Dominion released a self-titled EP in 2014, and it rose into the top forty on the country album charts. The EP featured the “Shut Me Up,” and “Break Up with Him,” both of which garnered airplay and also earned Old Dominion a record deal with RCA Nashville.

Old Dominion re-entered the studio and began to prepare for a debut studio album. The result was Meat and Candy, which arrived in November of 2015 and was a smash-hit upon its release, rising into the top five on the country charts and into the top twenty on the mainstream charts. The song “Break Up with Him” also experienced some revived traction, eventually rising to the number one spot on the US Country Airplay charts and to the number three spot on the country charts.

Since that time, Old Dominion has been a country music act on the rise and definitely one to watch in the coming years. The group recently released the song “Snapback,” which arrived in 2016 and charted in the top ten on both country and mainstream charts.
