The English-Irish band known as the Wanted was created in 2009. Assembled in the traditional “boy band” style, members Nathan Skyes, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran, and Max George were gathered through auditions held by producer Jayne Collins. After selecting the group member, the Wanted was signed to Geffen Records and released their debut, the song “ All Time Low,” in 2010.

“ All Time Low” reached the number one spot quickly in the UK, and the songs “ Heart Vacancy” and “Lose My Mind” both followed to equal success. Following a performance on the television show The X Factor, the Wanted saw a noticeable increase in their sales, boosting the success of their debut album upon its release in the United States shortly thereafter. In preparation for their sophomore effort, the Wanted released the singles “Gold Forever,” and “Glad You Came,” the latter of which became the group’s major American breakthrough and placed the band at the top of the charts in the US.

Since that time, the Wanted have released Battleground (2011) and Word of Mouth (2013), featuring the additional songs “Lightning,” “Warzone,” “Chasing the Sun,” “I Found You,” “Walks like Rihanna Booking Agent & Management" href="https://stage.onlinetalent.com/artist/dance_pop/ Rihanna.php"> Rihanna,” “We Own the Night,” and “Show Me Love ( America),” all of which have hit the top of the charts in the UK and reached into the mainstream charts in the United States. Although the Wanted has yet to reach consistent success in the United States, the band has been recognized with nominations from the Brit Awards, Teen Choice Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, American Music Awards, and People’s Choice Awards. Ultimately the Wanted has sold more than 9 million singles worldwide.

Recently, the Wanted launched a tour in 2012 to further promote their album, performing throughout the UK and at various radio stations and clubs in the United States. The Wanted performed at the Beacon Theater in New York City in the summer of 2012, just before heading to Australia and New Zealand for additional tour dates. The band also launched their own series on the E! network, The Wanted Life, which is a reality-based glimpse into the lives of the band members.

The Wanted currently has plans for an upcoming worldwide tour in 2014, followed by their next album release.
