The artist known as Axwell was born Axel Christofer Hedfors in 1977 in Sweden. Long before he joined the trio known as Swedish House Mafia, young Axwell began experimenting with music when he was still in elementary school. Starting with the drums, Axwell fell in love with beats, and by the time he was teenager, he’d discovered how computer technology could be used to create the sounds he envisioned.

 

Axwell arrived on the scene in 2004 with the mega hit “Feel the Vibe,” which rose to the top of the charts throughout Europe. Since that time, Axwell has released the additional hits: “What a Wonderful World” (with Bob Sinclair); “Open Your Heart” (with Dirty South); “Roar” (with Sebastian Ingrosso); “Center of the Universe” (with Magnus Carlson); and “Don’t You Worry Child,” the smash hit created as part of the Swedish House Mafia. Axwell has also given audiences the remixes “Music Matters” (Faithless); “Let it Go” ( Dirty South feat. Rudy); “In the Air” (TV Rock feat.
