Slushii BIO

The American DJ and music producer known as Slushii was born Julian Scanlan in 1997 in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Today, Slushii is known as an up and coming DJ, one of Skrillex’s prodigies, but long before he rose to prominence Scanlan grew up with a number of challenges; as a young man with Asperger’s Syndrome, he struggled to make friends and experienced quite a bit of bullying in school.

But ultimate Julian rose above his challenges and started his music career, at first collaborating with a number of musicians while in high school. He learned to blend sophisticated EDM production with stylistic elements such as trap drums, helium vocals, and trance synths, forming a sound that ultimately let to his self-released debut single, “All I’ve Ever Wanted.”

After signing with Red Light Management in 2016, he adopted the moniker Slushii and released his first single, “Emptiness,” in 2016. The rest of 2016 saw Slushii releasing the singles “So Long,” “To Say Goodbye,” “Morphine,” “Dear Me,” and “Catch Me,” all while preparing for his debut album. Slushii also spent the year providing remixes for notable artists such as: Zedd (“I Want You To Know”); Skrillex (“Summit” and “Killa”); That Poppy (“Lowife”); Drake Booking Agent & Management" href="https://stage.onlinetalent.com/artist/hiphop/ Drake.php"> Drake (“Hotline Bling”); Marshmello (“Alone”); and Jack U (“Mind.”)
