Frontliner BIO

The Dutch hardstyle DJ known as DJ Frontliner was born Barry Drooger in Amsterdam. Frontliner burst onto the scene in 2005, initially producing material under the pseudonym Abject. Wtihin a year, he’d coordinated with producer William Rebergen on Headhunterz, bringing him to the attention of the electronic music scene.

 

Over the last few years, Frontliner has participated in a number of electronic music festivals, including In Qontrol, Reverze, Decibel Outdoor Qlimax, and Defqon.1, for which he recently composed the anthem, “Weekend Warriors,” for the 2013 festival. Notable tracks produced by Frontliner include “Scantraxx Rootz,’ “In Our Memories,” “Warp Hole,” “Expressionz,” “The First Cut,” “Become the Sky,” “Rebirth of the Sun,” “Keep it Up,” “Phaseriffic,” “Never Come Down,” “Halos,” “Ten Seconds,” and “Running Boy.” Frontliner’s music includes collaborations with such notable musicians as John Harris, Nikita, Katt Niall, and Seraina, to name a few.

 

Frontliner continues to write, perform, and record. He most recently founded his own music label, Keep It Up Music, in the summer of 2012.
