Showtek BIO

The Dutch electronic music duo known as Showtek is comprised of brothers Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen. The Janssen’s began producing techno and hardstyle music shortly after the dawn of the new millennium, but it wasn’t until recently, nearly a decade later, that Showtek has made its way to the forefront of the electronic music scene.

 

Showtek had a few moderately successful remixes in the early 2000’s (such as Desperation’s “Our Reservation” and Walt’s “Wanna Funk”), and the duo even composed the anthem for Defqon 1 in 2006. But it was the release of their album Analogue Players in a Digital World, in 2010, which suddenly catapulted Showtek to the top of the charts. Since that time, the duo has released the hits “How We Do” (with Hardwell); “Cannonball” (with Justin Prime); “Booyah” (featuring We Are Loud!) Showtek has also brought electronic music some of its most successful remixes in recent years, including: “Out of the Blue” (System F); “The Bottle” (Marcel Woods); “Tonight I’m Getting Over You” ( Carly Rae Jepsen); and “City of Dreams” ( Dirty South & Alesso featuring Ruben Haze.)

 

Showtek has also produced tracks for a number of notable artists, including Tiesto, Marcel Woods, and Allure. The duo most recently established their own record label, Skink Reocrds, to further provide a vehicle to release not only their own music, but the music of other up and coming artists, such as Angger Dimas and Justin Prime.
